Nature has a deeper demand – it says, "Preserve your body, and after you, create many more bodies."
Now, you can preserve your body even by being a pure vegetarian, so nature doesn’t make much fuss about that. If someone gives up milk and meat, nature isn't going to strongly oppose it. Maybe for a few days you’ll feel like, “Ah, a cup of tea with milk would’ve been nice.” But after a few days, you’ll start feeling better, lighter. So nature doesn't resist too much, because her primary demand is – keep the body going. The body was running on meat before, now it's running without meat – so it’s all fine.
But nature has a second condition – and that one is intense. It says: not only must you keep your body running, but you must also create at least five to ten more bodies after you. And when that second condition is not fulfilled, nature starts to trouble you. That trouble, you’re calling "attraction" or "distraction." But it’s not attraction or distraction – it is the very track that nature has laid out. That’s the track of nature.
When you were in the jungle, what did you do all day? Once you reached a certain age in the jungle, you’d spend your day wandering around, climbing trees, jumping into rivers, eating whatever you found. Then you’d start looking for someone to have sex with. You’d fight someone. Then you’d eat again. Sometimes you’d find food, sometimes not. Some days you'd find a lot. And when you felt that your body was strong and you got good food that day, you’d again look for a sexual encounter.
This is exactly how the life of any animal in the jungle is, right? And that was also the life of early humans. Before civilization, this was human life. This is what nature still wants you to live. That’s why the desire still exists deep within you.
That same desire leads to having affairs with three or four people at the same time. On the surface, our values may have changed, but deep inside, we're still living in the jungle. Because if you look from an evolutionary point of view – from a time scale – we were in the jungle only yesterday or the day before. Humans started farming only ten thousand years ago. Organized thinking and contemplation began just five or six thousand years ago. So, we are very new to structure, to civilization – but we are millions of years old as jungle creatures.
So the next time you notice these feelings, look in the mirror and say to yourself, “I’m still a wild one.”
This primitive urge to spread your seed (sperm/egg) everywhere is simply the will of Mother Nature.
The desire to have sex with different people – it's not some mistake or corruption, but something that nature itself wants.
Now, whether or not you act on it is your choice.
But do it knowingly – know what you're doing and what the consequences might be.
Don’t let 5-10 minutes of pleasure ruin your entire life.
And if you're fully aware while doing it, it will become increasingly hard to do what's wrong.
Do you understand?
Many people react saying, “Oh, such a dirty topic!”
One foolish argument after another comes up – “It’s a sin,” “God won’t forgive,” “You’ll go to hell,” and so on…
All that is nonsense.
Don’t make sex a big issue.
It’s simply a physical need – just like food or water.
If it is the natural outcome of a sincere relationship, that’s fine.
But if it comes at the cost of your life/respect, or at the cost of your dear relationships or marriage, then it is foolishness – and you should stay away from it.
It’s not a big deal – it’s just a bodily need.
You can easily ignore this animalistic urge, or engage with it only when it doesn’t pose a threat to your future.
The most important thing is – its naturalness is its real value.
Simplicity is the greatest thing.
You feel attracted to so many women or men because you haven’t truly understood even one of them.
If you deeply understand just one woman or one man,
you’ll be free from the craving for all others.
